Bike Safe has negotiated with VicRoads, and the Councils involved, to erect permanent, official ‘Share the Road’ signage. They are VicRoad designs with the white background making them very effective. These signs will be paid for by Bike Safe and its sponsors. They are manufactured to official VicRoads standards.

This is part of our strategy to encourage the construction of infrastructure (such as paths, improved road shoulders, or the provision of specific signage) should be undertaken using a regional approach. Hopefully we can slowly address the ‘old’ signs as well.
